Radio in the UK, what happened ?

I can only stand to listen to radio for about ten minutes whilst I try to find something to listen to then I have to turn it off. It is unbearable tripe. It has been taken over by sycophantic left wing loonies who have chips on their shoulder as big as their bank accounts.Music stations have music that all sounds the same apart from the Classical music stations and even they seem to play the same music. What happened to diversity within the radio community? Years ago we used to sit around the radio and each member of the family would find some entertainment value by searching through the spectrum of light entertainment on the old box that sat in the corner but no more. Instead we are treated to an assortment of dire, dreary programs that they think that we should listen to. I am glad that you have found that you have found some enjoyment and listening pleasure but I am jealous because speaking for myself, radio is dead and long gone.
